Final Chapter 103 Rules Adopted

On Wednesday, November 18, the Iowa State Board of Education approved the adoption of a new Chapter 103, now titled “Corporal Punishment, Physical Restraint, Seclusion, and other Physical Contact with Students.” The rules will become effective January 20, 2021.
This two-hour webinar is designed for administrators tasked with facilitating compliance with Chapter 103. The webinar will cover the changes to Chapter 103 and provide attendees with a comprehensive implementation checklist. The changes are extensive, and school districts should start planning now to ensure they are ready to implement the changes by January 20.
