Joseph Malanson and Logan Brundage recently joined Ahlers & Cooney, P.C. as Associate Attorneys.
Joseph Malanson joined the firm as a member of the Education Law Practice Area focused in the areas of Public Finance and Procurement/Contracting. He will assist K-12 school districts on a variety of issues, including those related to open meetings, public records requests, and public bidding and contracting. As a bond lawyer, Joseph will work with school districts in the planning and financing of capital projects. Upon graduation from Washington University School of Law, Joseph served for a year as a law clerk to the Honorable Leonard T. Strand, U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Iowa.
Logan Brundage joined the firm as a member of the Government Law Practice Area and will work closely with cities, counties, and other governmental entities in the exercise of their powers and in litigation. With a General Municipal practice, Logan will serve clients across a range of operations, such as policy development, risk avoidance, public bidding, public records, open meetings, as well as the review and preparation of contracts, ordinances, agreements, and resolutions. Within the Economic Development/Urban Renewal portion of his practice, Logan will advise Iowa municipalities on the utilization of various economic development tools and programs.
