The International Municipal Lawyers Association (IMLA) recently recognized Ivan T. Webber, an attorney with Ahlers & Cooney, at its annual conference in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada with the Marvin J. Glink Private Practice Local Government Attorney Award.
Nominated by Alan Kemp, Executive Director of the Iowa League of Cities, Barry Lindahl, Senior Counsel for the City of Dubuque, and Eric Goers, Assistant City Attorney for Iowa City and IMLA’s Iowa State Chair, Ivan was one of three attorneys to receive this award in 2017. As Mr. Lindahl explained in his nomination letter, “Ivan is regarded by Iowa city attorneys as the dean of Iowa city attorneys.”
The Marvin J. Glink Award recognizes a practitioner who has provided outstanding service to the public and who possesses an exemplary reputation in the legal community, the highest of ethical standards, and who is devoted to mentoring young lawyers and educating lawyers in local government law.
