As of January 2018, Bill Noth is Of Counsel with Ahlers & Cooney. Bill joined the firm in 1983 and practiced in both the Public Law and Private Law areas of the firm. He combined his extensive transactional expertise in municipal bond law with a corporate law practice, and has served as President of the National Association of Bond Lawyers (NABL). In 2004, Bill was elected as a Fellow in the American College of Bond Counsel. He was recognized by Best Lawyers in Administrative / Regulatory Law from 2011-2017.
As part of the Public Finance Practice Group, Bill served as bond counsel to a number of Iowa’s larger cities in connection with their traditional tax-secured and revenue bond financings. He also had an extensive practice representing cities in a wide range of economic development projects, including those involving new market tax credits, tax increment revenues, historic tax credits, developer guarantees, mortgages and other security provisions.
His practice with the Business Entities Practice Group focused on corporate board and securities law compliance issues. Among other things, his work in this area included SEC reporting and disclosure issues, corporate governance matters and private placements of debt securities.
