Ronald L. SutphinRonald L. Sutphin was born in Des Moines, Iowa, and was admitted to the Iowa Bar in 1964 after graduating from Drake University with a B.A. in 1962 and a J.D. in 1964. During law school, he was an assistant editor of the Drake Law Review, and was a law clerk in the Iowa Attorney General's office. He was a Captain, Judge Advocate Corps of the United States Air Force from 1966 to 1969.

He is a member of the Firm's Business Law Department and Of Counsel to the Firm. He is a member of the Iowa State and Polk County Bar Associations. He was lecturer in law for securities regulation at Drake in 1970.
