J. Eric Boehlert was born in Syracuse, New York. He was admitted to the Iowa Bar in 1999 after graduating from Drake University (B.A., cum laude, 1996, and J.D., with honors, 1999). He is a member of the Public Finance department of the Firm. Prior to joining the Firm, he served as law clerk to Justice Mark S. Cady of the Iowa Supreme Court. He is a member of the Polk County, Iowa State and American Bar Associations, and the National Association of Bond Lawyers.
