Amanda G. Wachuta was born in Davenport, Iowa. She received her
B.A. from the University of Iowa in 2001, and her J.D. with highest honors from Drake University Law School in
2004. While in law school, she completed an internship with U.S. District Court Judge James E. Gritzner and served
as Projects Editor for the Drake Law Review, in which she published the Note, "The ADA Gets Even More Complicated:
Analyzing Pregnancy with Complications as a Disability", 52 Drake L. Rev. 471 (2004).
She is a member of the Order of the Coif and was admitted to the Iowa Bar in 2004, and the United States District
Court for the Northern & Southern Districts of Iowa in 2006. Prior to joining the Firm, she clerked for Iowa
Supreme Court Justice Mark S. Cady from 2004 to 2006. She is a member of the Polk County, Iowa State, and American
Bar Associations, the Blackstone Inn of Court, the Iowa Defense Counsel Association, and the Defense Research Institute. |
